Made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin that promotes hydration and adds volume, Juvederm Tampa works to create a smooth and natural-feeling addition to treated areas. For optimum comfort during treatment, the injectable is made with the addition of lidocaine that acts as an anesthetic. A topical numbing cream is also applied and clients experience little to no discomfort during injection.
The Best Candidate
Juvederm is a product that can be used by most people without any downside or downtime. The results are immediate, so you can see the impact of the treatment as soon as the injections are completed, which can take five to fifteen minutes depending on the number of syringes being used.
Preparation is simple and will be reviewed with you at the time of your appointment. Primarily, you should plan to discontinue the use of aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen or Motrin, as well as any supplements for at least twenty-four hours before treatment.

Lips
The lips are a sensitive area of the body, prone to showing the signs of aging early. Because full lips are a characteristic of a youthful face, lip enhancement has become a very popular choice of treatment. One reason Juvederm is recommended for plumping and defining lips is it is hydrophilic, which means it attracts water that can add to its plumping action.
There are a few different reasons our clients ask for lip injections. The goal is always to provide a natural looking enhancement, achievable with the injection of Voluma XC to the cheek region.
Restylane(R)
A popular product, Restylane has been used for over a decade to successfully treat fine lines and wrinkles and as an effective filler for reducing the appearance of acne scars. A hyaluronic acid-based formula, Restylane is used primarily in nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and lips. Resylane-L is a form of Restylane mixed with lidocaine, a local anesthetic, for the ultimate in patient comfort.
Sculptra Aesthetic(R)
A different kind of injectable from those in the hyaluronic acid category, Sculptra is actually a product that gradually corrects facial wrinkles and folds using poly-lactic acid that promotes the creation of collagen. This product takes three treatments over a few months and approximately four months time to produce results that last up to two years.
Those with Sculptra injections will need to massage the treated area as massaging works to evenly distribute the product to encourage the best possible result.
Botox(R) and Dysport(R)
