The Mack Center was the first office to offer the new updated Prowave laser from Cutera®, the ProwaveLX. Laser hair removal is available in the South Tampa office, the Mack Center. With the Prowave LX, we are able to target finer hair compared to other lasers on the market. The length of the appointment depends on the body area being treated on the designated patient. Retreatment of the target area is about every 8 weeks so we can attack the hair in the active stages. Immediately after the procedure, the skin may be slightly pink and warm and the hair follicle may look swollen. With the ProwaveLX, patients will be able to attain their goals of reaching permanent hair reduction on their underarms, upper lip, chin, and bikini line in about 6-9 treatments.
