There’s no doubt that we all know – and fear – the double chin. But now, cosmetic surgery is no longer the only solution thanks to a new new FDA-approved treatment for neck fat, called Kybella.
In April, 2015, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Kybella (deoxycholic acid), a treatment for adults with moderate-to-severe fat below the chin.
Kybella is a non-surgical injectable for reducing moderate to severe fat on the upper neck, commonly referred to as a “double chin.” The injection contains a naturally occurring molecule which eats away at fat. When injected properly, all other cells are left healthy and intact.

Kybella® is injected under the chin in the fatty layer. The Deoxycholic acid assists in breaking down fat cells. When the fat cells are eliminated, a reduction in fullness is achieved!
