5 TRUTHS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOTOX

There are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation regarding Botox treatments.  However, the good news is that the information is still out there…you just have to know where to look for it! Check out this list of 5 things you should know BEFORE Botox.

Everyone does Botox. Be careful who you trust.

There are literally billboard signs for Botox injections as you drive down the street these days. It’s a household name. Everyone is doing injections these days…but not everybody is good. Achieving amazing results with Botox isn’t just because it’s a great product, but because the person doing the injections is very good. If your injections are too low and too deep, they can do more harm than good.

Make sure you do your research and find someone who is experienced and has a good reputation. Talk to people, read online reviews, and have a consult before you commit.

Results take time.

The onset time isn’t immediate, so don’t expect to see a huge change when you walk out the door. It may take a few times for the injection to take effect.

Keep track of your units.

You buy Botox by the unit, so save yourself time and money by keeping track of how many units you’re getting each visit. This way when you go back for your next injection you can say if it’s not enough or too much.

Consider preventative Botox.

If you know you don’t like wrinkles, start getting Botox before they permanently set in. If you don’t, you may find yourself spending more money on dermal fillers.

It’s a fast, painless procedure.

The entire procedure shouldn’t take more than ten minutes. Nor does it require any numbing medicine. The needle is so small that you should only feel a slight prick. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of.

The Mack Center actually has a special this month on Dysport, which is another option if you’re willing to branch out from Botox. As mentioned, the results are only as good as the person giving the injections, so whether you choose Botox or Dysport you’ll still achieve great results.
