The Pearl is a “laser peel” option available at the Mack Center. Dr. Mack offers this laser to peel away the top layers of skin. The Pearl is used to improve pigment, texture, pores. It will greatly diminish fine line and soften deep wrinkles. An hour before the procedure, patients given a topical numbing cream and an oral medication to alleviate any potential discomfort during the procedure. Immediately after the procedure, the face will be red and feel sunburned. Prior to departure, Vaseline will be applied and continued for an additional 4 days to help the skin slough easily. In the 4 days, patients experience some redness, dryness, and some itching as then skin peels away. With the Pearl laser, one to two treatments are recommended to get optimal results. The Mack Center in South Tampa, uses the Pearl laser to help patients reach their aesthetic goals of having smoother skin and diminishing wrinkles on the face.
