Is Blepharoplasty in Tampa Right for You?

Blepharoplasty

If you have eyes that look tired, are experiencing sagging, or are puffy, you may benefit from eyelid surgery. The procedure can help you look more alert, happy, youthful, and rested. The Mack Cosmetic Center provides blepharoplasty in Tampa, and we are happy to help you decide if the surgery may be right for you.

Types of Eyelid Surgery

Blepharoplasty in Tampa can correct aesthetic concerns of both the lower and upper eyelids. Some of the variations of the procedure available include:

Upper Blepharoplasty

An upper blepharoplasty is a relatively quick procedure, with some taking just minutes. Patients are able to return home shortly after the surgery. Recovery time is minimal.

Lower Blepharoplasty

Lower blepharoplasty is slightly more complicated than an upper blepharoplasty. However, unless our surgeon requests otherwise, most patients can return home the same day as their procedure.

Combined Procedure

It is possible to have an upper blepharoplasty and a lower blepharoplasty performed at the same time. During a combined procedure, general anesthetic is typically used. The length of the surgery varies based on the extent of the correction needed.

Are You a Good Candidate?

The only way to assess your candidacy for eyelid surgery is through a personal consultation. That said, you must be in overall good physical health and have realistic goals about what can be achieved.  Additionally, there are set characteristics that may indicate if eyelid surgery may benefit you, including:

  • Dark circles underneath your lower eyelids
  • Lines and wrinkles on your eyelids
  • Bags of fat underneath your lower eyelids
  • Excess skin on either/both of your upper or lower eyelids
  • Fat bulges on your upper and/or lower eyelids

Even if you have some of the above conditions, they may not be severe enough to warrant surgery. In those cases, our team will help you explore other options that can aid in improving the appearance of your eyes.

Whatever your needs, our team at The Mack Cosmetic Center in Tampa can help. Contact us today to book a consultation and learn more about your options!
