WHAT IS AN IPL TREATMENT?

IPL, if you aren’t familiar with it, stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a laser procedure that is designed to erase age spots, soften fine lines and wrinkles. IPL reduces redness, rosacea, and “broken” blood vessels on the face, neck and chest. It also improves skin texture by stimulating collagen and improves pore size by reducing oiliness.

How does it work?

The laser device emits light waves that are targeted at the red blood cells in the blood vessels or the brown pigment in freckles or age spots. The light passes through the skin and is absorbed, which damages the blood vessel wall or fragments the melanin pigment. The tiny blood vessels and/or melanin pigment are then absorbed by the body, causing them to be less visible. The result? Lighter, smoother, more beautiful skin!

How does it feel?

Typically patients tolerate the patient easily with no problems, although some do experience mild discomfort. As the skin begins the clear, the treatments become even more comfortable. Since it’s not an invasive procedure, it can be done easily in 30-90 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.

The best part, however, is that we have a great special
this month on IPL treatments – just $299! Call today to learn how you can get in on this great deal.
